🏦 Funding Gurus™ FAQ

Your Trusted Outsourced Trust-Funding Partner

At Funding Gurus™, we help estate-planning law firms deliver a complete, white-glove funding experience — without the overhead of hiring and training an in-house coordinator.

Our experienced Funding Coordinators handle every step of the process, from client meetings to asset verification and institution follow-up, while you maintain full visibility through our secure portal.

Below are answers to the most common questions attorneys ask before partnering with us.

How will I stay updated about my client’s funding case?

All updates are provided through our secure, HIPAA-compliant portal. Each client has their own private portal, which your firm can access through a shared link. We update the asset inventory in real time so you can easily follow your client’s funding journey.

Do I need to prepare any forms?

No. Our team prepares all required funding forms based on your client’s asset inventory and trust structure. You simply provide the trust documentation and limited power of attorney — we handle the rest.

Do I need to coordinate with the client?

No. Funding Gurus™ communicates directly with your clients. We schedule meetings, gather asset information, and ensure each account, deed, and policy is properly funded — so you can focus on higher-level client work.

Do you need my client’s online account credentials?

This depends entirely on client preference. Some clients choose to provide secure login credentials; others prefer to log in alongside their funding coordinator. Either way, all online access is handled with full transparency and security.

Can you file executed deeds?

Yes. We can record executed deeds as part of the funding process. Each recorded deed counts as one funded asset in your client’s total asset count. You are responsible for recording fees. If you need a deed drafted, that is an extra fee as drafting a deed is a legal matter and recording the deed is part of funding. Yes, we also fund deeded time shares.

Who is this service best for?

Funding Gurus™ is ideal for:

  • Estate planners who offer trust funding but lack a dedicated coordinator.

  • Firms that want consistent, white-glove client experiences without managing internal staff.

  • Busy attorneys who prefer to delegate funding logistics to experienced professionals.

How will my client know you are affiliated with my firm?

We correspond with clients on behalf of your firm. All emails, meeting confirmations, and documents clearly identify your firm’s name so clients experience seamless communication and brand consistency.

Are your employees lawyers?

Some team members are licensed attorneys; however, Funding Gurus™ does not provide legal advice. We operate strictly as an outsourcing company delivering administrative and logistical funding services.

How will I know when funding is complete?

Upon completion, your firm receives an email notification with all relevant supporting documents, including confirmation letters, updated beneficiary forms, and the final completed asset inventory.

What if my client has more assets than originally disclosed?

If additional assets are discovered during the funding process, you will receive an invoice for the difference between the assets you prepaid for and the total assets funded into the trust.

What if my client fails to disclose certain assets?

Funding Gurus™ cannot fund or assume responsibility for undisclosed assets that were not provided to your firm or to us.

What documents do you need from my firm?

We require:

  • A Limited Power of Attorney authorizing your firm and Funding Gurus™ to act on the client’s behalf to change beneficiary designations and account titles.

  • A Certification of Trust and the Trust document (or at minimum, the Trust structure).

  • Any specific attorney instructions or client funding notes that outline unique circumstances or preferences.

Can you train my firm’s internal funding coordinator?

Training services are not currently available; however, Funding Gurus™ plans to launch a Funding Coordinator Training Program in mid-2026.

What are your current prices?

We are currently in beta testing and offering introductory pricing to law firms who are willing to pilot our program and provide feedback on our process.
